Whether its rodents or insects, pests (blog below) can create havoc to turf. This is why all of Earth Elements programs, have integrated pest management at their core.

What does this mean?

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a proactive approach that works to manage the plant environment and prevent problems.

IPM focuses on:

·      Long term prevention of problems

·      Growing a healthy crop that will be naturally resistant to pest and disease

·      Creating conditions that are unfavorable for the pest to thrive in

·      Right diagnosis of the pest to ensure that the right remedy is in place

When problems do occur, the IPM process uses all necessary techniques to suppress pests effectively, economically and in an environmentally sound manner for lawns and landscapes.

It is a two-pronged approach: managing the plant environment to prevent problems and using thresholds to decide how and when to treat pests in the landscape.  All of Earth Elements landscape maintenance packages are based on IPM by an accredited IPM agent.

The healthier your turf, the less problems you are going to occur. But when problems do occur, the key is treating the pest effectively and efficiently. Having a turf expert, like Earth Elements, on your side, will ensure that the solution is the right one for your lawn and the environment.
